Can't forget...

Mae is at such a fun age right now and makes us full on belly laugh every day. I wanted to record some things that I never ever want to forget...more for me than you I am sure, but just bare with me!

Mae loves sunglasses and hates the sun in her eyes. My sweet friend Jess and her mom, Mrs. Konie sent us these for the girls...we love them!

She knows her ABC's, colors, animals, and can now communicate what she wants to us. She has a fantastic memory. Her facial expressions kill me! And she is obsessed with shoes...putting them on, taking them off, and choosing her own to put on each day!

Her happy place...outside. She loves to be outside any time she can.

I love playing dress up with her. She is really getting good at smiling for the camera and being my little model. She has more clothes and fashion sense then I do!

Her favorite part of the day is saying "Up, here!" and getting the counter to help me cook.

She has the sweetest spirit and loves to please her mommy and daddy. She LOVES to be tickled, loves her some Mickey Mouse (only show she will sit and watch) and just recently found a love for "Let it Go" (Frozen movie) since our recent trip to Birmingham.

She is obsessed with being a big sister and loves her sister something special. It is the sweetest relationship. I am so glad she has the sister I never have had. She talks to her in her mama voice and it melts me.

She loves to play dress up and have a 'ponty-tail', She has memorized the entire "Brown Bear Brown Bear, what do you see?" book and loves to read it to us.

She loves any and all kinds of art and crafts. She can count to 14 and has decided she doesn't love Eli, our dog, anymore.

This past weekend we got her her first baseballs and bat. She loves to watch any sports with her daddy, especially golf. She has her own miniature golf ball and her and daddy play golf, lots!

Every day when she wakes up from the night or her nap, she knocks on the wall to let me know she is up. Hysterical. She can NOT stand to have her teeth brushed and has been fighting it for the longest.

Bubbles are her favorite past time. Bubble bath, bubble machine, blowing bubbles. She loves her scooter, baby doll strollers(all 3 of them), and going on walks where SHE gets to walk.

She has a new hate for riding in the stroller, especially the one her mama just spent way too much money on for her and her sister to ride together. She loves to feed the ducks and go to our neighborhood playground.

Her belly gets SO big after she eats...on the note, she is a pretty good eater considering she is a two year old. She eats pretty healthy when mommy is around. She loves music, dancing, and singing. She really enjoys school, her friends at school, and her teacher.

We can NOT get enough of her and I am sure she tires of all of our kisses. We give her millions a day. Our heart could explode for her and her sister.

3 down...

Yesterday was Maggie's 3 month mini birthday. We are loving every day with our sweet new addition and she could not have fit into our little family any more perfectly. People immediately say she looks like her sister, but honestly they do not favor as of now. They each have their own look.

No doctors appt. this month, which means NO shots! Whew! If I had to guess she is 12.5 lbs. or closer to 13.

She is still exclusively nursing. It is going great and very convenient easy for me this go round. She nurses 4 times a day and gets a night time pumped bottle still from daddy. Usually around 6 ounces. She can burp like a grown man. Daddy is proud.

As mentioned before, she is continuing to sleep through the night, plus NO swaddle and NO paci! It is been life changing for us all! So proud of her!

She is still a major spit-upper, unlike her sister. She spits up atleast 2 times after each feeding. We try to keep her as still as we can, but it is hard when big sister is around!

She is napping wonderful, as she always has. She goes down awake, fusses for less than a minute usually or none at all and is out!

She has found her thumb, and it is the cutest thing I have ever seen, might I add. I am so thankful that helps her self soothe, and I know one day we will have to break her of it, but if she is like her sister, it won't be too hard.

She loves being outside. Whether in the driveway in her bouncy seat, going on walks, or just sitting on the front porch. Vitamin D does a sister good. Her mama, too.

This week was the first time for me to hit the gym again. Maggie went in the nursery both times and they said she was an absolute angel. I put her in there asleep in her car-seat, but of course when I would pick her up she was in someones arms giving some snuggles out. I don't blame them. She is super good at snuggling.

She loves riding in the car, but hear me now, if you dare stop at a stop sign or red light, she acts like a limb is falling off. As soon as the car starts going again, she is good to go.

She loves to laugh, coo, and smile at us. She is easy to please and a go-with-the-flow baby. Praise the Lord! She has the sweetest, softest little voice and loves to hear herself talk. We have some great conversations.

She loves the bouncy seat and her play mat. Sadly, she gets placed there a few times a day so I can tend to her sister. I am really trying to have some one on one time with each girl, so thankfully they have both learned to have some alone time while I am with the other.

On that note, while Mae is at school, I steal extra snuggles. I am a schedule-nazi normally, but I use those school days for me to 'screw the schedule' and snuggle my girl! We have lunch dates with daddy and make sure she feels like she is the only child for a few hours! She loves it deep down, I know I do.

Maggie's besties right now are baby Aly Wilken (5 weeks apart)
and baby Luke Gentile (1 week apart).

When the TV is on (not very often when daddy isnt home, but when he is, it stays on pretty regularly...insert sad face) we catch Maggie gazed at the lights and sounds coming from that big rectangle. I think she is going to like Mickey like her sister.

Her cry is the sweetest thing I have ever heard. It is not loud, it is sweet and soft and innocent. It melts me. I have only seen real tears a handful of times.

These adorable glasses, my bestie from high school and her sweet mama sent these for the girls. Maggie did not BUDGE with them on and loved not having the sun in her eyes. Hilarious.

We love you sweet Maggie girl! We can not imagine our family without you in it and you definitely complete our little family. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

He is Risen!

We had a wonderful trip to Birmingham. The girls could not have been more perfect for the car ride down! It was truly a miracle! I had such anxiety about being in the car that long, but it went great! We checked Mae out for Weeschool and hit the road with lunches packed and ready to go!

We enjoyed the first few days at the Harbucks with Ryan's family and loved our time with cousins!

Easter egg hunt time!

We then headed to my parents side of the city and had another Easter Egg hunt with Mae's bestie Jane!

We had a wonderful Easter service at Church of the Highlands with my family and went to Inverness Country Club for lunch. Mae saw baby bunnies, baby chicks, and baby lambs!

Dad can't ever keep his eyes open, best I could get!

Every day I am reminded how blessed we are with these two little girls and the family God has given us. Easter was no different. So thankful for a God who prevails and shows us His love daily. I don't know how Jesus exactly got out of that tomb, but I am so thankful He did!
He is Risen, He is Risen, indeed!

This just happened...

I can't help but be so proud of my girl! She is going on 2 hours for her first time in a big girl bed napping! She helped me order Minnie Mouse sheets online this week (I caved, I figured it would help excite her for this big change!) She helped me take down the crib and put up the bed. She kept saying, " Mae's big girl bed" in a high pitched voice like me, ha! We read this book that a mom in Mae's class loaned me and I went for it! I laid her down and she reached for me looking scared. I then decided to lay down with her and tell her how proud I was of her. I then scooted to the edge of the bed as she was nodding off, and scooted out! Yay, Mae girl!

Addiction...

I must admit, I have a new addiction. Young Living Oils: Diffuser! Have you been around one? I fell in love instantly...love the way it makes my house feel and smell! Love that it helps in so many other ways too! (prevent illness, helps sickness, calms, soothes, helps with sleep, helps with anxiety, etc.)

Enough Said...

hop...hop...hop...

We had a great, relaxing weekend as a family, including our Saturday morning breakfast out tradition, naps, take out, snuggles, a pedicure for me, church, and our neighborhood Easter egg hunt.

and that's a wrap! Leaving tomorrow for BAMA to celebrate the true meaning of Easter and be with family for Easter and my daddy's birthday! Cant wait! Maggie's first time in Alabama! He is Risen!
