Mae Lisa

My little Mona, Mae Lisa had art camp last week. She had so much fun and was shocked how great of an artist she actually was! It was a really cute camp at Briarwood that the teacher helped guide them and teach them on their paintings. She went Monday through Thursday for one hour each day. She did it with her bestie Janey, and some classmates from this past school year.

So proud of this girl and cant wait to frame them!

A Father's Love

I see a picture of my Father's love for me more and more as I am not a parent, but also watching Ryan being a dad to our girls. The love is unconditional, over-the-top, beat out of your chest kind of love and each day he can't get enough of them...and let's be honest, they cant get enough of him.

Happy Father's Day to the best dad around!

Fishy Fishy

Our sweet little Mae Mae has turned into a fish this summer. My generous mother in law offered to get her swim lessons, since they have a pool at their house, and let's be honest...It makes us all a little uneasy with babies around! So I was so relieved when she offered! Mae never cried, walked in there confident, and walked out a fish! She loved her teacher Mrs. Brittany! Thank you BB for the awesome lessons!

The goggles OWNED me.

She can now float on her own, swim on her own (head above water), blow bubbles, and jump in on her own and go under to swim to someone. SO PROUD! It is amazing how my heart literally lives outside of my body with both of my girls...It literally could explode.

Picnic Portraits

We took a little picnic to Aldridge Gardens today and I snapped a few pics of my girls. Maggie is not as much of the model type as Mae is quite yet when it comes to posing. Maybe one day!

Love my girls!

Memorial Weekend

Memorial Day weekend was one for the books. We are so thankful for all those who have sacrified their time, family, and lives for our country. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking of it!

We enjoyed a wonderful family weekend starting off at the zoo with friends on Friday.

Then we ventured on the Smith Lake with a huge group of friends. The girls LOVED their first trip to the lake!

On Sunday, we went to church, and enjoyed a cookout for lunch with our neighbors. I didnt get any pictures, but it was super fun, especially since she will be Mae's 3 year old MDO teacher next year!

After lunch and naps we enjoyed playing outside and cooking out steaks with another set of neighbors. Monday, Mae, Ryan, and my dad went fishing and me, Maggie and my mom went to breakfast and met them at Inverness Country Club for swimming and cooking out.

We left the babes right before nap time and ventured to Old Overton Country Club to have some adult time with some neighbors.

We sent daddy off to work on Tuesday with a Turtle in our driveway and holding hands like besties on a walk.

Wonderful weekend had by all! Love our sweet family and friends.

Beginning, Middle, End.

We had a great 2nd year of MDO. We started off at our church MDO, Carmel Baptist Wee School in Charlotte, and had the BEST teachers and the BEST class!

Then we ventured to Birmingham, and found another BEST school and class!

Mae adjusted so well and ended the year with a bang!
