War Eagle!

We had a GREAT weekend in AU and to end the weekend, what better news than to be #1! It's great to be an AUBURN TIGER! I am so proud to have graduated from such a great school with for once a number 1 football team! :) We started off our Auburn weekend with a trip to Mikata, our favorite restaurant to eat at with all our friends! We went to the game with our new Huntsville friends, Elizabeth and Joey Dambro! Yay for new friends! We had fun with them and already have plans again for this week!

The addiction is back...

I have started sewing again! Thanks to the lovely week long fall break Huntsville City Schools has given me, I am back at it! I love it so much and it is so theraputic! I love to listen to my praise and worship music while I sew and I just get in my own little world!

I actually have been selling kitchen towels in a local store here in Huntsville. I am even about to possibly selling in a Trussville store, as well. I am so excited!

New York, NEW YORK!

Ryan and I have decided that we want to wait awhile to have kids and enjoy this time 'just us' and travel. Ryan surprised me on Valentine's and told me he had been planning a trip for us to NYC! Fun night and dinner at Abe and Arthur's. Gwen Stefani was there the week before!

We had a blast from Regis and Kelly tickets, shopping, yummy food, tired feet, fun drinks, an AUBURN restaurant/bar, and the Yankees/Red Sox game (Ryan played in college with the closing pitcher for the Red Sox which was really fun to see him). We even met some friends along the way. These are just a few pictures to wrap up the fun trip!

An amazing man...

All of our days are numbered, but if we share them with the people that matter and that we love, and endure our relationship with the Lord, what a blessing LIFE is!
Ryan and I had a great 'family' weekend in Birmingham this past weekend. From family baby showers, church, cookouts, breakfast outings, and quality time, we really enjoyed it. One of things that was a part of our weekend to treasure was seeing Ryan's grandfather, Daddy Ralph. What an amazing man! He is a United States Veteran, strong Christian man, loving husband, amazing craftsman, and has raised 3 wonderful children, 2 daughter-in-laws and has 4 grandsons and 2 grand-daughter-in-laws :)

I have loved this man ever since the first day I met him on HIS wedding day to the sweet Mrs. Margie. I was honored to be a part of their special day. They were a part of our special day back in November, as they danced the night away and showed off their moves. I LOVE THIS picture! Daddy Ralph is in his last few days of life as I type. I tear up just thinking of what a wonderful man he is. Sadly, I have already lost my 2 grandfathers, so Daddy Ralph has been my 3rd one to 'share' with Ryan. I will never forget him telling Ryan that he lost a good one when we broke up in the midst of our relationship...I knew I loved him, ha! Daddy Ralph means so much to us all and I know sweet Jesus can't wait to wrap his arms around him very soon! We love your Daddy Ralph and are so glad we got to spend time with you last weekend!

FFIL AND FMIL

My father in law, Max, and I joke all the time about how he is my favorite father in law! I know he is my only one that I will ever have, but I got REALLY lucky having such a wondeful set of in-laws!

So I have to publicly confess I made A BIG uh-oh. I am the WORST daughter in law it may seem! I FORGOT their wedding anniversary! Yes, it was on my best friends wedding day, Jess, but there is NO excuse! I make this public confession and hope they had a WONDERFUL anniversary, especially getting to witness another couple start their marriage. Of all times to miss theirs, the first time they have an anniversary that first year I have married their son and here I messed up royally. I hate that I missed it and hope to make it up to them August 28th next year!

I am so thankful to Max and Becky for how great they are to Ryan and me. They are so loving, caring, generous, thoughtful...the list goes on and on. I could not ask for a better set of 2nd parents! We love their visits to Huntsville, our visits to see them, and any emails or phone conversations we can get! I do not tell them often enough how thank we are for them and to have them in our lives! I love Max's text messages, poems on special events, prayers before dinner, funny stories, help with Life insurance, and especially his love for his boys. I love Becky's constant thoughtfulness, random phone calls, gift wrap surplus, great meals, encouragement, and especially her love for her boys. Ryan and I have learned so much from their marriage and thank them for the guidance and impact they have made on our own marriage! We love you mom, dad, Max and Becky! Cheers to many more anniversaries to you that I DONT FORGET!

Best Friend's Wedding!

Jessica, my best friend from high school and college, got married a few weeks ago to HER Ryan as we call it :) It was one of the most fun wedding weekends we have ever been to:

We started off on Thursday night with a wedding party softball game! So fun for all!

Friday was the bridesmaids lunch at The Club and the Rehearsal dinner in Selma at Selma Country Club.

Saturday we had a blast all day sharing this special moment with Jess at her family farm. She was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen!

Fun Labor Day Weekend

We had a great Labor Day weekend! Ryan and I relaxed and enjoyed time together Friday night. He was like a kid in a candy store for football to start. Saturday we had some friends over for the game! Thankfully Auburn won! War Eagle!

We went off to our new Huntsville friends lake house to spend the rest of the weekend. We had a great Wydner Harbuck weekend with them and are so thankful for our new friends! Their families lake house was AMAZING and we felt like royalty! Here is a picture of Ryan and our friend Alison coming down off the tram to get to the dock. You have to look really close to the far right to see them, but they are there waving! :)
