ARG

This week has been the hardest week of my life. My very best friend, Amy, lost her sweet 2 year old to a tragic swingset incident. Pleaes join me in prayer for this precious family. I type this from Amy's house as she is finally sleeping. There are no words to comfort her, but the love of Jesus. I have never felt so helpless in my life! Amy and I are due with sweet baby girls 3 weeks apart! She is already a cm. dialated and 50% effaced. Please pray that baby stays put for now!

I read at Amy and Davey's wedding in front of the congregation, never did I ever think I would be speaking at their daughter's funeral service! Please pray for God to speak through me and for nothing but words of comfort and memories be shared.

Visitation for Ann Reese Grote is Friday from 6-8pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home is Daphne (27409 US HWY 98 Daphne, AL).

Service is on Saturday at Coastal Church (11101 County Road 64 in Daphne) at 10am with graveside following.

  1. I have read several stories about this precious baby ... please don't think Im being rude when I ask what happened with the swingset to cause such a tragic loss as this. I ask because I am not just a mother but grandmother too. I want to be fully aware to protect my family. May the grace and comfort of Jesus surround you all on this journey of loss and grief.

  6. My thoughts are with all of you. When you have a moment, can you please explain the details of what happened to the rest of us parents? I am so afraid to take my 2 yr olds out now. Hang in there. There are just no words I can offer, it is so not fair.

  9. I cried when I read this story. I have 3 grown and married children and 4 grandchildren including a baby girl born 10 days ago. I would also like to know what happened as I have been thinking about purchasing a swing set for my back yard. I cannot imagine losing one of my children or grandchildren.
