Blessed.

We are loving our new life as a family of 3! Its definitely been an adjustment, but it has been wonderful! We have had a ton of visitors, and we thank them all for their time to come see us, meals, gifts, and loving on our sweet Mae! We are so blessed by great family and friends! Mae has no idea how loved she is already!

Mae's 1st Easter Egg Hunt

She loved it as you can see! Ha, she slept the whole time! Can you see Mae in the group picture? She had to join all the other kids! :)

Week 1

Our first week home was wonderful! Mae is such a sweet baby! We sleep, change diapers, feed, rock, kiss, snuggle, and then do it all over again each day! Can not believe God chose us to be her parents! Amazing...

K. Mae

We welcome to our family sweet Mae. Born February 25th, 2013, at 4:15 at East Alabama Medical Center. Weighing in at 8 lb 11 oz and 21.5 inches long. We love our new little family! I pray that we can raise Mae to love Jesus, love others, and love life!

We have been so blessed by the amount of people who have showered us during this special time! Our first shower was in Birmingham, my best friends from college and high school, plus some of Becky's friends helped us start the fun! I love each of these people so much! Thank you Konie, Susan, Brie, Pam, Natalie, Amy, Molly, Holli, and Jess! It was perfect!

Our 2nd baby shower was in Huntsville! My sweet room mom Cristi hosted it at her house along with friends Amy, my boss at Shoe Fly (not pictured), Courtney and Elizabeth, and my sweet co-worker and mom of one of my students, Kristy! It was so fun to see everyone and visit back where we first lived when we first got married! Truly blessed!

 

Our 3rd shower was a diapers and wipes showers thrown by my coworkers at school! Mae is set on diapers for a year it seems! Ryan is pumped! It was so fun, and mom came for her 3rd shower, she doesnt miss a beat! :)

We have one more shower, which I am so excited about! It is in Auburn with our family and friends! I cant wait but hope Mae makes it until then, Feb. 3rd! I am already 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced with head down low, so I am praying she waits patiently :)

last nye as 2!

We had a low key NYE, but I promise I am telling the truth when I say it was perfect! I took a nap during the day and woke up with Ryan returning from Earth Fare with groceries. He planned and cooked a yummy meal! 

We had a Jeopardy competition, lame I know, but it was fun! Ryan killed me!

Mom bought me some sparking grape juice and we toasted to a wonderful year behind us and excited about the next!

I stayed on the couch most of the night and did doze off, seeing I am growing a human inside me! However, by 10:00 I was wide away and stayed up till Midnight to kiss my hubby! It was perfect and we were asleep by 12:30! Interested, excited, and anxious to see what 2013 has in store for us!

ARG

This week has been the hardest week of my life. My very best friend, Amy, lost her sweet 2 year old to a tragic swingset incident. Pleaes join me in prayer for this precious family. I type this from Amy's house as she is finally sleeping. There are no words to comfort her, but the love of Jesus. I have never felt so helpless in my life! Amy and I are due with sweet baby girls 3 weeks apart! She is already a cm. dialated and 50% effaced. Please pray that baby stays put for now!

I read at Amy and Davey's wedding in front of the congregation, never did I ever think I would be speaking at their daughter's funeral service! Please pray for God to speak through me and for nothing but words of comfort and memories be shared.


Visitation for Ann Reese Grote is Friday from 6-8pm at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home is Daphne (27409 US HWY 98 Daphne, AL).

Service is on Saturday at Coastal Church (11101 County Road 64 in Daphne) at 10am with graveside following.
